From :http://www.running4fitness.comRACE DETAILS: 5K run/walk begins at 9:00 am, rain or shine in front of Decatur High School on North McDonough Street in Decatur – 310 North McDonough St, Decatur, 30030. Parking available in the upper parking lot off Howard Avenue. Decatur High School, Renfroe Middle School, Glennwood Academy & City of Decatur elementary school students, parents, alumni, friends, neighbors & runners of all levels are invited to participate. Runners are invited to run with their dogs in a special group. The course is well marked & supervised by volunteers & the City of Decatur Police Department. Water stations positioned along the course & mile splits provided. Refreshments available at the finish at Decatur High School. All proceeds used by the Decatur Bulldog Boosters to help fund the sports programs at Decatur High School & Renfroe Middle School.
AGE GROUPS/AWARDS: Overall 1st & 2nd place M & F runners, Masters 1st & 2nd place M & F runners & top three M & F finishers in each category: 11 & under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 & over 60. Overall M & F, Masters M & F and Age Group winners will accumulate points at all Grand Slam events. Dogs participating will receive a special prize.
