Even when one is liberated by a free event, it is still important that certain bad behavior like violence be minimized.
Soft pillows only and absolutely no feathers or you will be thrashed after it breaks.
Swing lightly, many people will be swinging at once.
Do not swing at people without pillows or with cameras.
Remove glasses beforehand!
The event is appropriate for all ages.
Wait until the signal to begin.
Cleaning Up
PLEASE BRING A GARBAGE BAG AND/OR RAKE to help keep the park clean. The ideal pillow fight would leave no trace of its occurrence .
Ideally, the community will police itself if people become aggressive, and there will not be much to worry about. Again, we have never heard of police arresting or ticketing anybody in relation to a public pillow fight.
People will make new friends, re-unite with old ones, meet future lovers, and revel in the blissful one-ness of a free, fun, social gathering.
It is best to estimate that the pillow fight will last up to 2 hours when comrades grow weary.

Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken Coming to Belvedere Plaza
"World Famous" chicken chain planning new restaurant in Decatur
FROM: http://www.tonetoatl.com
Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken the Memphis based chicken chain that entered the Atlanta market in 2015, is planning to open in Decatur later this fall. Sources at the restaurant confirmed to me this week that they plan to open in Belvedere Plaza at the corner of Memorial and Columbia Drives, across from the former Columbia [Avondale] Mall, which is today a Walmart Supercenter. Technically the restaurant is not in the City of Decatur but nonetheless the Belvedere Plaza eatery will be the group's "Decatur" location.
