We are proud to announce that the beneficiary for the 2017 Madison Ave. Soapbox Derby will be Decatur Robotics.
Decatur Robotics is a STEAM organization (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) based in Decatur, GA devoted to inspiring youth to be science and technology leaders and innovators. Decatur Robotics engages elementary, middle and high school students in exciting programs and competitions that build 21st century skills and foster life capabilities including self-confidence, communication and leadership. They provide access to life-changing STEAM programs to as many students as possible and aim to help close the gap that exists between our community’s lower- and higher-income students. Scholarships are available to students who would otherwise be unable to participate.
Decatur Robotics students call it the “hardest fun you’ll ever have.”
OUR MISSION: Decatur Robotics seeks to inspire youth to be science and technology leaders and innovators. We engage them in challenging programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills that foster life capabilities including self-confidence, communication and leadership.
