Event to celebrate DeKalb history book’s release

Residents are invited to celebrate the release of a new book chronicling DeKalb County history at a party and silent auction next week to benefit the county’s history center.
As part of the launch of the book, “Historic DeKalb County,” the history center will host a party and fund-raiser on Thursday, Feb. 12. The event features hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction, with hotel stays, dinner certificates, children’s items and more up for grabs.
The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on the Old Courthouse on Decatur Square.
